The Kwara State Police Command has arrested four men in two separate cases involving the alleged possession of human body parts intended for money rituals.
Commissioner of Police Ojo Adekimi disclosed the arrests on Tuesday in Ilorin, detailing ongoing investigations. In the first case, two suspects, Abu Jimoh and Ayo Jimoh were apprehended on October 8 while allegedly digging graves at a cemetery in Omupo.
Police said the men confessed to exhuming bodies and removing human heads, naming a herbalist, Mukaila Bello, as the alleged buyer. Investigations are continuing to determine Bello’s involvement.
In a separate incident the same day, police arrested Kamalden Lukmon and AbdulGaniyu Ibrahim along Bakase Road in Alapa, where two suspected human hands were recovered.
Preliminary interrogation revealed the men intended to use the body parts for rituals. They claimed a vigilante member, Abdulraf Apata, had handed the items to them.

The command assured that all suspects will face prosecution once investigations are concluded, stressing its commitment to curbing ritual-related crimes in the state.
