A senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emmanuel Ogidi, has revealed that the party is preparing to sanction erring members, particularly the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday, Ogidi described the ongoing crisis within the PDP as “internal sabotage,” stressing that the party belongs to the people and not to any individual or faction.
“You can’t serve two masters. He (Wike) is supposed to be serving us in PDP but he is serving APC. This is a threat to democracy. APC is using him to destroy democracy and it’s deliberate, but we are very conscious of that and very soon you will hear what will happen,” Ogidi stated.
He emphasized that the PDP would no longer tolerate indiscipline, warning that members undermining the party would face consequences.
Ogidi added that reconciliation efforts within the party did not mean disorder, insisting that the PDP remains strong despite defections, zoning disputes, and court cases.
According to him, the party is focused on ensuring a successful convention as it prepares for the 2027 elections, maintaining that the PDP is “indestructible” despite current challenges.
