The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has paid a courtesy visit to Costa Rican President Laura Fernández while in the Central American country for the National Crusade of Hope.
Adeboye announced the visit in a social media post on Tuesday, noting that he was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.
He said the couple was warmly received by the president and described the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen relationships while discussing faith, hope, peace and the transformation of lives.
“It was a great honour to visit the Presidency of Costa Rica alongside my beloved wife @pastorfoluadeboye during the National Crusade of Hope,” he wrote.
Adeboye stressed that the Christian message is not limited by national borders, languages or cultures, adding that the church remains committed to taking the gospel to every nation.
“The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not limited by borders, languages, or cultures. Our mission remains to take the message of salvation to every nation, trusting God to bring hope to individuals, families, and communities,” he stated.
He prayed for President Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, expressing hope for peace, healing and restoration in the nation.
“May the Lord bless President Laura Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, and may this nation continue to experience the goodness and peace of God,” he added.
Adeboye concluded his message with a quotation from Habakkuk 2:14: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
Photographs shared with the post showed Adeboye with his wife, their son Leke Adeboye, and other church officials.
The visit formed part of Adeboye’s participation in the National Crusade of Hope, held at Costa Rica’s National Stadium in San José on October 17.
The event, organised by the RCCG and the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation, also featured Christian music performers Tercer Cielo and Averly Morillo.
