Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, has assured his supporters that those allegedly working to scuttle his governorship ambition in Gombe State will soon be exposed.
Pantami, who left the APC after the party adopted Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna as its consensus candidate, joined the PDP and emerged as its flag-bearer in May 2026.
His candidacy, however, has faced legal and procedural challenges, including a Supreme Court ruling on party membership lists and his subsequent exclusion from INEC’s updated register of candidates.
In a video message shared on Facebook, Pantami thanked supporters for their prayers and resilience, urging them not to be discouraged by critics.
He warned against mocking those who resorted to prayers in mosques and churches, saying such ridicule could provoke calamity.
Pantami claimed investigations had uncovered individuals behind attempts to derail his candidacy, promising to reveal their names and actions soon.
“No one can destroy someone whom Allah has predestined to succeed,” he said, stressing that his movement was divinely guided.He urged his followers to remain steadfast, describing their mobilisation efforts as a sign of true piety, and reiterated confidence that the challenges facing his candidacy would be resolved.
