A building collapsed on Friday morning in the Fadeyi area of Lagos State, leaving one person dead and three others injured.
The incident occurred on Akinola Street, off Ikorodu Road. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the casualties and said the cause of the collapse was yet to be determined.
Rescue teams are continuing search-and-rescue operations to locate any workers who may still be trapped under the rubble.
“Emergency responders have launched a coordinated operation to evacuate victims trapped under the collapsed structure,” LASEMA said.
The agency added that the response was being coordinated with other emergency units, including LRU paramedics, the Lagos State Fire Service, LASASA, and the Alakara Division of the Nigeria Police Force.
Authorities have assured residents that further updates will be provided as investigations continue.
