MTN Nigeria says customers in some parts of Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, Delta, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are experiencing disruptions to its services, following a downtime in its FibreX internet service.
The telecom company confirmed the development in a notice to
customers on Thursday, saying its services may be temporarily unavailable in
the affected areas.
“We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo,
Lagos, Rivers, FCT and Delta States and our services may be temporarily
unavailable as a result,” MTN said.
The company said its engineers are working to restore
services.

possible,” the statement reads.

In a separate message to customers, MTN said it is aware
that some subscribers are having difficulties using the service.
“Dear Customer, we are aware some of our customers are
having challenges using our services,” the company said.
The company did not disclose the cause of the network
challenges or provide a timeline for the full restoration of services.
