The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has deployed two new ambulifts at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, to enhance accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility.
The equipment, officially handed over to NACHO Aviation Services, is designed to provide safe and dignified boarding and disembarking for travelers who require assistance.
FAAN’s Director of Airport Operations, Capt. Abdullahi Mahmood, emphasized that the initiative reflects the authority’s commitment to improving passenger facilitation and aligning Nigerian airports with international standards.
According to FAAN, the ambulifts will significantly ease the travel experience for passengers with disabilities, reduce delays during boarding, and strengthen operational efficiency at the country’s busiest airport.
This deployment is part of FAAN’s broader efforts to modernize airport infrastructure and ensure inclusive services across Nigeria’s aviation sector.
