Nigerian skit maker and boxer Carter Efe has retained his celebrity boxing title after defeating Speed Darlington by unanimous decision.
The four-round bout ended in the early hours of Friday, with all judges scoring the fight in favour of the defending champion.
The victory kept Carter Efe’s unbeaten record in the celebrity boxing scene intact.Speed Darlington entered the ring aiming to snatch the title, but Carter Efe controlled the contest and secured a clear decision win.
After the fight, the champion said he plans to marry his girlfriend, Taylor Jasmine, before stepping back into the ring.
He also expressed interest in facing bigger names, including former world champion Floyd Mayweather.“I want to fight with men, like Mayweather,” Carter Efe said. T
he comment drew laughter when he was asked whether such a bout could realistically be arranged. “Fight with Mayweather? Hell no. That ain’t happening,” came the reply.
Carter Efe later thanked his supporters for their continued backing following the win.
