Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has pledged full support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign, backing grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Aiyedatiwa made the commitment during a courtesy visit by members of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, led by Chief Kestin Pondi, who represented the group’s convener and Director-General, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo.
The movement recently unveiled 26 campaign vehicles to drive voter outreach across Ondo State’s constituencies.
Commending the initiative, Aiyedatiwa said the door-to-door strategy would help combat voter apathy by familiarising citizens with Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress before election day.
“As a grassroots politician, I know that door-to-door campaigning makes people aware of what is happening. On election day, they will come out because the name of Mr President will not be new to them,” he stated.
The governor also credited Federal Government reforms, particularly the removal of fuel subsidy, for boosting state revenues and enabling infrastructure projects.
He stressed that development must extend beyond Abuja to all 36 states.Pondi explained that the campaign vehicles would reach homes, churches, mosques, markets, and riverine communities, with a target of securing over one million votes for Tinubu in Ondo State.
Ondo APC Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, assured that the party’s structures were firmly in place to mobilise support, urging members to intensify efforts ahead of the 2027 polls.
