A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has said the North-West region has firmly chosen President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
Kwankwaso made the remarks on Saturday during the flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna, describing the massive turnout as proof of Tinubu’s strong support base in the region.
“Today, we of the North-West geopolitical zone have spoken loud and clear on who we stand for. Our choice of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains our commitment to a better Nigeria and national cohesion,” he told journalists at the VIP Pavilion.
He added that the rally was not just a mobilisation exercise but a demonstration of the North’s commitment to unity and continued development under Tinubu’s leadership. Kwankwaso argued that Tinubu’s presidency represents equitable distribution of resources across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
“Asiwaju is the northern candidate, and we shall deliver him come 2027,” he declared, dismissing suggestions that northern support was driven by political expediency.
Kwankwaso urged political stakeholders nationwide to prioritise unity and collective progress, saying the Kaduna rally had shown Tinubu’s growing support in the North-West ahead of the election.
