The founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, says President Bola Tinubu may be unable to complete a second term if he wins the 2027 presidential election.
In a video released on Tuesday, the cleric suggested that
Vice-President Kashim Shettima could succeed Tinubu before the end of his
tenure.
The cleric stated that Tinubu’s health would require prayers
if he were to complete his current tenure and secure another four years in
office.
He described the statement as a warning based on what he
described as divine revelation, rather than a curse against the President.
Ayodele referred to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua,
who died in office in 2010 after a prolonged illness, as a possible precedent.
“If Tinubu wins the second time, he will not finish it. I
stand by my word, he will not finish it. What happened to Yar’Adua or whatever
that will make him not to finish it will lead to an emergency government,
making Shettima take over from him, might happen.
“Tinubu will not finish his second term, thus says the Lord
of hosts,” Ayodele declared.
He further alleged that individuals around the President
were shielding him from opinions and messages that could challenge his
decisions.
