Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio has alleged that she was forced to attend an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign event, stating that her life and safety were not guaranteed.
The claim follows public criticism of videos showing the actress at the political gathering. Some Nigerians questioned her presence at the campaign.
In a social media post responding to the backlash, Oluebube said there was more to her appearance than met the eye and alleged she was being blackmailed. She promised to identify those responsible when the time was right and asked her supporters to pray for her.
“I was actually forced to be in such settings, my life and safety is not guaranteed, if you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stressed up,” she wrote.
“When the time is right I will expose the people blackmailing me, the least you can do is to pray for me.”The actress did not name the individuals she accused of forcing or blackmailing her, nor did she provide further details about the circumstances of her attendance at the APC event.
