Traders across Katsina State have declared support for Governor Dikko Radda and President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bids in 2027, citing development projects and business-friendly policies under their administrations.
The endorsement was announced on Thursday by the Katsina State Traders’ Association, which pledged to mobilise members across all 34 local government areas in favour of the two leaders.
Speaking at the event, Governor Radda thanked the traders for their confidence, noting that the gesture reflected the business community’s recognition of government efforts to improve the economy and create opportunities.
“We appreciate this confidence and support. It is an indication that our efforts to improve the economy, support businesses and create opportunities for our people are being recognised,” Radda said, assuring that his administration would continue to strengthen support for traders and expand economic opportunities.
Chairman of the association, Alhaji Lamis Dan-Maliki, explained that the decision followed an assessment of the performance of both Radda and Tinubu, particularly in infrastructure development and business support.
“We are satisfied with the leadership of Governor Dikko Radda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, especially with the development projects being implemented and the support extended to the business community,” he said.
Dan-Maliki added that the association would also back candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at other levels, stressing the traders’ commitment to ensuring continuity of government programmes and policies.
