‘Face Burna Boy, let me be’ | ‘Slovido’ — Davido, DJ Tunez resume feud

Afrobeats star Davido has resumed his online taunts against DJ Tunez, reigniting their long-running clash linked to Burna Boy.

The feud traces back to April, when DJ Tunez and Burna Boy were involved in a physical altercation in Lagos. The fight reportedly stemmed from a heated argument at Obi’s House, a popular weekly Afrobeats party.

The situation later turned rowdy, drawing in members of Burna Boy’s team before onlookers separated the entertainers.

Weeks later, Davido appeared to side with Burna Boy, mocking Tunez, also known as Ogbafia, by retweeting a video of Burna Boy dancing to ‘Money Constant’ by DJ Tunez featuring Wizkid, DJ Maphorisa and Mavo.

While singing along, Burna Boy changed the lyric “Ogbafia dey my side” to “Ogbafia dey for ground” before dramatically falling, a move widely interpreted as a jab at DJ Tunez.

On Friday, DJ Tunez shared a cryptic post about Davido, calling him “Slovido” and asking him to “leave music for the musicians”.

The disc jockey also taunted Davido’s recently released album.

Davido fired back, asking DJ Tunez to redirect his attack to Burna Boy instead of him.

“Since u Dey ground u never rest…  person wey deck u. u leave am Dey face me wey no get business! Sh*t crazy,” he wrote.

“Ogbafia at 40 get ur get back B**ch!  LEAVE me outta of it h*e.

“Dem send u come nit?? Ewww stop the foolery it takes nothing for to Do you really dirty! But I ain’t got nothing to gain cuz yaa** aint worth s**t but a grain of doodoo.

“Machine Dot, why you no bounce on Burna for New York. Shi** y a** team.”

The exact cause of Tunez and Burna Boy’s dispute remains unclear, but online speculation suggests it may be linked to long-standing industry rivalries, especially the DJ’s close association with Wizkid, who fans often compare to Burna Boy and Davido.

Wizkid had reacted to the incident with a swipe at Burna Boy, referring to his colleague as a “coward” for allegedly attacking Tunez with the help of ten other men.

DJ Tunez also aimed a dig at Burna Boy, calling him a “coward” and posting “All Signs of Weakness” — a twist on Burna Boy’s album title ‘No Sign of Weakness’.
