The City Boy Movement has announced the appointment of aviation entrepreneur and political mobiliser Isaac Balami as an executive board member and National Director on Special Duty.
Balami, who recently left the Obidient Movement, has been actively rallying support groups and political associates toward the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaling a broader realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His appointment was formally presented by the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, and National Secretary Hon. Tosin Odufuwa, alongside other board members.
The development was also confirmed by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The executive board, the highest decision-making body of the movement, oversees strategy and activities.
Balami’s inclusion is seen as significant due to his influence among youth and grassroots political groups, particularly in Northern Nigeria and the Middle Belt.
Supporters also note that he is the first Christian from Northern Nigeria to serve on the board, a move they believe strengthens ethnic and religious representation.
Balami, who previously served as Deputy Campaign Manager for the Obi/Datti campaign in 2023, has in recent years combined his aviation career with youth mobilisation and political advocacy.
His new role is expected to place him at the center of the City Boy Movement’s efforts to expand its reach and bolster Tinubu’s 2027 campaign.
The movement also appointed Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari, son of former Zamfara governor and current Director-General of Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, to its board.
These appointments are expected to reinforce the organisation’s structure and broaden its influence among young Nigerians ahead of the elections.
