Zamfara APC Chieftain Resigns, Faults Tinubu Over Insecurity

Hon. Muhammad Bello Yakubu Bakyasuwa, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dosara/Birnin Kaya Ward, Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State, has announced his resignation from the party, citing frustration with the Federal Government’s handling of insecurity in the state.

In a letter addressed to the APC Ward Chairman, Bakyasuwa said his decision was driven by “personal convictions” and dissatisfaction with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which he accused of failing to end persistent banditry and killings in Zamfara.

“The inability of the APC-led Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to effectively address the persistent banditry and wanton killings of innocent people in Zamfara State has compelled me to resign,” he stated.

He further criticized what he described as a lack of political will to confront the worsening security crisis.Bakyasuwa expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunity to serve but confirmed that his resignation takes immediate effect.

His exit comes amid heightened concerns over banditry, kidnappings, and attacks on communities across Zamfara, a situation that continues to dominate political discourse in the state.
