Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Gboyega Oyetola on Thursday declared that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and his supporters will cry after the governorship election scheduled for Saturday.
Oyetola, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of the state, made the remark ahead of the August 15 poll. He lost his re-election bid to Adeleke in the 2022 Osun governorship election.
The comment comes amid heightened political tension in the state, where Adeleke is seeking a second term (reportedly under the Accord Party) against the APC candidate and other contenders.
Oyetola has previously stated that Adeleke’s endorsement of President Bola Tinubu would not prevent the APC from reclaiming the governorship seat.
