African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dino Melaye, has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu following his three-week vacation in Europe, remarking that old age cannot be treated but only managed.
Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the President departed Abuja for London as the first stop of his annual leave, which will last three weeks.
He is expected to return ahead of the January 2027 election campaign.Reacting on X, Melaye wrote:
“Which President will leave his country for 3 weeks? Only Tinubu. Oga, dem no dey treat old age. You can only manage it. Agbalagbi.”
His comments come amid claims by ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar that Tinubu is 90 years old, insisting he has evidence to prove the allegation in court.
The President’s vacation has stirred debate, with critics questioning his absence during a politically charged period, while supporters argue it is part of his entitled annual leave.
