Adamu Yahaya, widely known as Adam Fakai, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) figure in Kebbi State, has announced he will no longer back President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fakai, who gained popularity on social media for documenting federal projects across Nigeria, said he invested personal resources, time, and energy in promoting Tinubu’s administration but received no acknowledgment from party leaders.
In a statement, he alleged that political figures used his photographs and videos of government projects without crediting him.
He added that the lack of appreciation from both state and federal APC leaders influenced his decision to step back, noting he might have been treated differently if he hailed from another state.
Despite his withdrawal, Fakai expressed gratitude to individuals who supported his efforts over the past two years.
