Alhaji Abdul Waheed Akintola Olajide, a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, has died.
Olajide, who served under the administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
His family confirmed the news in a statement released to journalists on Wednesday.“It is with gratitude to Almighty Allah for a life well lived, and with submission to His will, that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and cousin, Alhaji Abdul Waheed Akintola Olajide, who returned to his Creator today, August 25, 2026,” the statement read.
The family expressed prayers for strength and comfort, asking Allah to grant patience to all who mourn his loss.The Janazah prayer is scheduled for Wednesday at 11:00 am at the MAN Centre, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
