Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced a fresh round of cabinet changes and new appointments aimed at strengthening governance in the state.
Makinde, while thanking former Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative, Balogun Sanni, for her contributions, wished her success in future endeavours.
Sanni had previously served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion (2019–2023), before being redeployed to Special Duties in 2023 and later to Trade and Investment.
In a related move, the governor forwarded the name of Olabode Ladipo, Permanent Secretary for General Administration, to the Oyo State House of Assembly as a commissioner-nominee.

Oladejo Oladokun – Part-Time Member, Local Government Service CommissionAccording to a letter signed by Chief of Staff Segun Ogunwuyi, the appointments take effect from July 1, 2026.
Makinde urged the appointees to serve with dedication, loyalty, and commitment.Earlier ReshuffleIn January 2026, Makinde had carried out a major cabinet reshuffle, relieving Secretary to the State Government Olanike Adeyemo of her duties and appointing Musibau Babatunde as her replacement.

Temilolu Ashamu – moved from Environment and Natural Resources to Budget and Economic Planning
Ademola Aderinto – Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, named commissioner-designate
Abiodun Adedoja – Special Adviser on Energy Security
Kolawole Elijah Akanmu – Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning
Makinde reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to effective governance, stressing that the reshuffle and new appointments were designed to enhance service delivery across the state.
