Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Katia, has suggested that the Portugal captain will retire from international football after the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, describing it as his “last dance.”
Speaking ahead of Portugal’s Round of 32 clash against Croatia, a match they won 2-1 after coming from behind Katia told SportTV:“Enjoy it while it lasts. It’s ending soon. The info I have, from a reliable source… this is his last dance.”
Her comments fueled speculation that Ronaldo might announce his retirement if Portugal were eliminated.
However, the 41-year-old forward, who scored the equalizer from the penalty spot in the game, dismissed the claims.
“I don’t make reckless decisions. I will decide after the tournament, not now,” Ronaldo said.
The debate over whether this World Cup will mark the end of Ronaldo’s glittering international career continues to stir fans worldwide.
