Suspected kidnappers have abducted a 10-year-old boy from his family home in Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on July 25, when four armed men stormed the residence of Bukar Umar in Andarashi village. Armed with bows and arrows, cutlasses, and sticks, the attackers forcibly took away Abdullahi Isa before fleeing to an unknown location.
The kidnappers later contacted the boy’s family via telephone and demanded a ransom for his release.
In response, police deployed operatives to the area. The Officer-in-Charge of the State Investigation Department (SID) was directed to commence technical tracking of the phone number used by the abductors.
Efforts are ongoing to rescue the victim unharmed and apprehend the perpetrators.
Investigations into the abduction continues.
