He also endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and named Kingsley Chinda as his preferred governorship candidate in Rivers State.
Fubara made the announcement on Wednesday during the groundbreaking of the Rivien Medical Industry project in Rumuosi, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
In a video of his remarks shared on social media, the governor said he had reconciled with his political family and urged his supporters to align with the coalition.
“We have made peace in the state. And I am supporting our rainbow party, or rainbow coalition,” he said.
Declaring his backing for Tinubu’s re-election bid, Fubara added:“President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is our president, and he’s the one we are supporting. Oke Chinda is the governorship candidate that I am supporting. And anybody who believes in me will support every candidate that is under the rainbow.”
He cautioned loyalists against waiting for political appointments before joining the coalition, stressing that unity and peace were more important than personal gains.
“I’ve gone back to our family. So please, wherever you are, give your total support to that coalition. The time of war is over; it’s time of peace. And this peace is taking us to another level,” he said.
Fubara also warned against using his name to promote political activities outside the coalition, insisting his position was clear and aimed at fostering unity in Rivers State.
His declaration comes months after withdrawing from the APC primaries in May 2026, following reconciliation with Wike after a prolonged political crisis.
The Rainbow Coalition brings together APC loyalists, PDP factions, and other groups aligned with Tinubu.
