Convicted former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, has lost five additional properties to the Federal Government following a court ruling.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced that Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the forfeiture of the assets.
One property , Walijam Apartments, located at No. 43, Plot 435, Lobito Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja was permanently forfeited after the court found it was acquired with proceeds of crime.Four other properties were placed under interim forfeiture.
They include:
Bloom Luxury Suites Nigeria Limited in Unguwan Rimi, Kaduna State
Two mansions on Misratah Street, Wuse 2, Abuja
A.U.A Plaza on Kade Street, Wuse 2, Abuja
Justice Omotosho directed the EFCC to publish the interim forfeiture order in a national newspaper within seven days.
This will allow any interested parties to appear in court and show cause why the properties should not be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.
Mamman was convicted on May 7, 2026, on a 12-count amended charge of corruption and money laundering involving ₦33.8 billion.
He was sentenced to 75 years in prison on May 13, 2026. The court also ordered him to refund ₦22 billion traced to him by the EFCC.
