Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has publicly mocked National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) president Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, following the latter’s defiance of a ban on the union’s activities in Osun State.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Davido’s uncle recently imposed a ban on NURTW operations in the state ahead of the August 15, 2026, governorship election.
The move was aimed at restoring order at motor parks and halting what the government described as illegal levy collections.
MC Oluomo rejected the ban, claiming the governor lacks the authority to regulate the union’s activities nationwide. In response, Davido took to social media to taunt the NURTW leader. In one post on X, he wrote: “MC Oluomo wey no fit compose sentence dey talk.. Kudosuuuu.”
Later, in an Instagram story, Davido directly tagged MC Oluomo, saying: “@kingmcoluomo, dem say u Dey game. I doubt lol look ur mirror.” The comment appeared to question the union leader’s alleged involvement in political thuggery targeting Governor Adeleke’s administration.
The posts triggered mixed reactions online, with some users criticizing Davido’s own grammar and educational background.
Davido was appointed in April as the youth campaign leader for Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid. The ongoing feud highlights the tension between the state government and the powerful transport union as the election approaches.
