The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central Senatorial District has formally endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone, and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was announced on Monday in a statement by Festus Ahon, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oborevwori, following the Delta Central APC Stakeholders’ Strategic Meeting held at the Petroleum Training Institute Conference Centre, Effurun.
Party leaders and stakeholders unanimously backed the candidates, stressing the need for unity and grassroots mobilisation.
Moving the motion for endorsement, APC founding leader Chief O’tega Emerhor commended Tinubu and Oborevwori for policies he said were positively impacting Nigerians and Deltans.
The motion was seconded by Hon. Halims Agoda and adopted through a voice vote led by Delta APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka.
Arenyeka described the gathering as evidence of growing unity within the party, noting that reconciliation efforts and grassroots mobilisation were strengthening APC structures across the state.
He welcomed defectors from other parties, assuring them of equal opportunities.Delta Central APC Chairman, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, urged members to put the primaries behind them and unite for victory in 2027.
“The election ahead is bigger than any individual’s ambition. Let us forgive one another, heal every misunderstanding and work together for the success of our party,” he said.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, congratulated candidates who emerged from the primaries and praised aspirants who accepted the outcomes.
He emphasised that APC’s democratic processes must be respected, adding that Tinubu’s economic reforms were already yielding results in infrastructure, job creation, and poverty reduction.
Senator Dafinone pledged to expand youth empowerment initiatives if re-elected, while NEXIM Bank’s Stella Okotete promised that Delta Central women would deliver at least one million votes for APC.
Local government chairmen also assured of grassroots mobilisation.Keyamo later reiterated on his X handle that party members must remain steadfast and work for victory at all levels, including President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
