Blaqbonez, the Nigerian rapper, has threatened a N2.55 billion suit against colleague Odumodublvck, alleging defamation, harassment, and threats over social media posts that labelled him a “s*xual abuser”.
Last month, Odumodublvck claimed that certain individuals in the music industry are shielding Blaqbonez from sexu@l abuse allegations.
He also renewed his public feud with Blaqbonez’s record
label, accusing Chocolate City of repeatedly attempting to get him arrested.
In a letter dated July 7, 2026, Punuka Attorneys &
Solicitors, representing Blaqbonez, born Emeka Akumefule, accused Odumodublvck,
born Tochukwu Ojogwu, of publishing and amplifying defamatory statements that
have damaged their client’s reputation and commercial interests.
The letter seeks N2.55 billion in damages, injunctive
reliefs, and a public apology.
“It is our considered brief that you, Mr. Tochukwu Gbubemi
Ojogwu (a.k.a. Odumodu Blvck/Industry Machine), have, over a sustained period,
conducted yourself in a manner suggesting that the ordinary restraints of law,
civility and accountability do not apply to you,” the document reads in part.
“You have published, republished, and caused to be amplified
across your social media platforms, statements of a threatening, defamatory and
grossly abusive character, directed specifically at our Client.”
According to the lawyers, the alleged publications
unlawfully exposed Blaqbonez “to public ridicule, hatred, contempt and
opprobrium” and caused significant damage to his reputation, emotional
wellbeing, and commercial interests.
“Our Client has suffered and continues to suffer significant
loss and damage as a direct consequence of your unlawful conduct,” it added.
The legal team is asking the court to declare that
Odumodublvck’s publications describing Blaqbonez as a “sexual abuser,” “sexual
abusing bastard,” or suggesting he committed sexual abuse or misconduct are
“false, malicious, defamatory and calculated to injure” his reputation,
goodwill, and business interests.
They also urged the court to declare that Odumodublvck’s
alleged threats, insults, and repeated publications amounted to “a deliberate
and sustained campaign of online harassment, intimidation and reputational
attack” against Blaqbonez.
Among the reliefs sought, Blaqbonez is requesting perpetual
injunctions restraining Odumodublvck from making further threatening or
defamatory publications and from alleging that he committed sexual abuse or any
criminal offence.
The rapper is also seeking an order directing Odumodublvck
to delete all alleged offending posts, reposts, videos, and related
publications from his X, Instagram, and other digital platforms. He also wants
the court to compel Odumodublvck to publish “a full, clear and unequivocal
retraction and public apology” on his verified social media accounts, with the
apology pinned for at least 30 consecutive days.
Blaqbonez is further asking the court to compel Odumodublvck
to publicly caution his supporters against “harassing, threatening, abusing,
intimidating, contacting or attacking” him.
The letter seeks N2 billion as general damages for alleged
injury to Blaqbonez’s reputation, goodwill, commercial standing, and business
interests; N500 million as aggravated damages over what the lawyers described
as the “malicious, repeated, violent, threatening and reckless nature” of the
publications; and N50 million as the cost of the action.
The legal team warned that failure to comply with the
demands within seven days would result in legal action without further notice.
“TAKE NOTICE that you have seven (7) days from the date of
this letter within which to comply with the demands set out above, failing
which our Client shall, without further recourse to you, and without further
notice, commence proceedings for the reliefs set out herein, together with such
further and other orders as the circumstances may require,” it added.
“This letter is written without prejudice to all rights,
claims and remedies available to our Client, all of which are expressly
reserved.”
Responding to the legal threat in a post on X, Odumodublvck
maintained his allegation against Blaqbonez, insisting the rapper is a “sexual
abuser”.
“@BlaqBonez I STAND ON IT. THIS IS NOT DEFAMATION,” he
wrote.
“YOU ARE A SEXUAL ABUSER. YOU DID IT. JUST BECAUSE YOU GIVE
A HUNDRED BLOGS TO POST YOUR 10TH PETITION TO ME, DOES NOT MEAN I WILL CHANGE
MY STANCE.
“IF I WAS WRONG WHY HAVE YOUR 9 OTHER PETITIONS TO ME
FAILED? YOU ARE GUILTY.”

The ongoing dispute, which has spanned several months, previously saw Odumodublvck accuse the Chocolate City of criminal intimidation and assault, as well as claiming that veteran rapper Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, who is affiliated with Chocolate City, has acted hypocritically.
