APC Rallies UK Nigerians to Back Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stepped up its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging Nigerians in the United Kingdom to throw their weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition and strengthen support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The call was made during the APC Diaspora Mobilisation programme held in Uxbridge, London, on Wednesday. The event brought together party stakeholders, support groups, and members of the Nigerian community in the UK to strategise on expanding grassroots support for the ruling party.

Organised by the Office of the Special Adviser on Diaspora Coordination and Mobilisation to the APC National Chairman, in collaboration with Women Leaders Support Advancement and the Tinubu Support Group, the gathering drew professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, and women leaders from across the diaspora.

Addressing participants, Professor Tai Balofin, Special Adviser on Diaspora Coordination and Mobilisation, urged Nigerians abroad to act as ambassadors of the Tinubu administration. “The Nigerian diaspora remains a strategic partner in national development. I urge all Nigerians living abroad to deepen grassroots engagement and actively support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so that the Renewed Hope Agenda can continue to deliver meaningful reforms for our country,” he said.

A highlight of the programme was the presentation of an Award of Honour to Balofin by Otunba Jafaar Ibraimoh, UK Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Group, in recognition of his contributions to diaspora mobilisation. Balofin dedicated the award to APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, praising his leadership for promoting inclusiveness and strengthening diaspora participation in party affairs.

Women leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and Tinubu’s administration. Kemi Kalejaiye, UK Coordinator of Women Leaders Support Advancement, said Nigerian women in the diaspora were prepared to play a greater role in mobilising support for the party. Founder of the group, Deborah Honecker, added that women united across borders remain a powerful force for transformation.
