Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to arrive in Ekiti State on Tuesday for a one-day working visit, during which he will inaugurate several key developmental projects.
According to Yinka Oyebode, Special Adviser on Media to Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the Vice President will be received upon arrival at the Ekiti Agro Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado Ekiti by the governor and other top state officials.
During the visit, Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, will perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ekiti Knowledge Zone. He is also expected to inaugurate the newly constructed Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) along the old Iyin Road in Ado Ekiti.
Additionally, the Vice President will commission the newly built 1.2-kilometre Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover at Okeyinmi in Ado Ekiti, described as one of the legacy projects of the Oyebanji administration.
This will mark Shettima’s second official visit to the state. In May 2024, he inaugurated the Omisanjana-Deeper Life-Ajebandele Road and the MSME clinic in Ado Ekiti, among other projects.
The Ekiti State Government has made adequate arrangements to ensure the visit is successful and memorable, highlighting its commitment to strategic collaboration with the Federal Government, other sub-national entities, development agencies, and the private sector in driving the state’s development agenda.
