Nigerian Army troops have successfully rescued four kidnapped victims during ongoing operations to track and apprehend the notorious bandit leader Kachalla Muhammadu Fulani and his gang.
The Katsina State Government confirmed the rescue on Wednesday, stating that the victims were freed as part of sustained military efforts in areas where the criminals are known to operate.The rescued individuals have been identified as:Musa Yakuba, 62 years old
Alhaji Sa’adu Dayi, 68 years old
Mukhtar Danja, 36 years old
Salisu Danja, 50 years old
According to a statement by Dr. Nasir Mu’azu, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, the victims sustained gunshot injuries during their captivity and were immediately taken for medical examination after their release.
The state government praised the Nigerian military and other security agencies involved in the operation for their efforts. It also reassured residents that security forces will continue pursuing Kachalla Muhammadu Fulani and other criminal elements to ensure the safety of lives and property in the state.
This latest rescue highlights the intensified military campaign against banditry in the region.
