The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms have boosted resources available to state governments for development projects.
Onanuga made the remark on Tuesday in Umuahia during a reception for participants of the Renewed Hope Projects media tour, who were visiting the state to inspect ongoing federal and state projects.
He emphasised the growing collaboration between the federal and state governments, noting that states now have more resources to execute projects that directly improve the lives of citizens.“The federal and state governments are working together for the progress of Nigerians. The resources now available to states are enabling them to undertake projects that improve the lives of citizens,” Onanuga stated.
The presidential aide described the media tour as an opportunity for participants to objectively assess key projects and appreciate the developmental strides being made across the country.
Abia State Governor Alex Otti, represented by Deputy Governor Ikechukwu Emetu, welcomed the initiative, describing it as a step towards promoting transparency and public awareness of government projects. He highlighted his administration’s efforts in infrastructure, security, education, healthcare, and economic growth over the past three years.
The governor commended the Presidency for organising the media tour, which he said provides Nigerians with firsthand information on government initiatives.
