President Bola Tinubu has reiterated that his administration’s focus is on deliberate reforms rather than instant solutions, stressing that the “renewed hope agenda” is designed to deliver lasting improvements to Nigerians’ daily lives.
Speaking through Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the inauguration of a seven-kilometre access road linking the second runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized that his government never promised “miracles from thin air.”
“We promised structural, calculated, and deliberate progress,” he said. “Hard choices today mean a stronger Nigeria tomorrow. We are not building for headlines; we are building for generations to come.”
Tinubu defended the economic reforms introduced since his administration began, acknowledging their difficulty but insisting they were necessary for long-term stability.
Akpabio, who represented the president, praised the quality of the newly completed road project, joking that the smoothness of the ride allowed him to read a newspaper without interruption.
The president assured citizens that his government would continue working “day and night” until every Nigerian feels the tangible impact of good governance.
