Edo North lawmaker, Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu had, during the last administration, relocated from Nigeria to avoid humiliation arising from some policies of Late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking on Sunday during an interview on The Mic On
Podcast, Oshiomhole also said that Tinubu was shut out by the immediate past
administration.
According to him, Tinubu, who was then the national leader
of the All Progressives Congress, was not comfortable with some policies and
choice of appointments in the past administration.
He said, “Tinubu stood with Buhari even when he was ignored.
Tinubu relocated so that he can be free from humiliation arising from either
choice of policy, appointment of people, and some of the decisions that Buhari
was taking.
“Remember that the first pronouncement of Buhari was that I
belong to everybody and I belong to nobody”.
Reports had indicated that Tinubu spent more time in France
during Buhari’s government.
