Former Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose says President Bola Tinubu has been managing the damage left by the administration of late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking Monday night on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Fayose said Tinubu is not perfect but has done his best so far.
“Tinubu is not a perfect person but he has given his best, things were worse at the exit of Buhari,” he said.
Fayose added that Tinubu “handed over the government to himself by taking over from Buhari” and, as a decent man who didn’t want to abandon northerners, “took everything to heart and managed the damage done to the country by the last administration.”
He also drew parallels with the Jonathan era, saying the president is being blackmailed with insecurity now, just like Jonathan was before leaving office. “The president has shown focus,” Fayose stated.
