Oladimeji Hammed, the TikTok personality also known as Immunizer, has been arraigned before an Ikeja magistrates’ court in Lagos for allegedly harassing Omowunmi Cynthia, widow of the late singer Mohbad.
The 27-year-old social media user was arraigned by the Lagos
state police command on a six-count charge, including cyberstalking, bullying,
and publishing harmful, insulting, and provocative content targeting the
26-year-old widow.
Prosecutors alleged that between February 8 and March 14,
Hammed published a series of harmful, insulting, and provocative content
against Omowunmi.
Hammed was said to have posted a claim that Omowunmi was
planning to flee Nigeria before justice was served in her husband’s death,
attaching her passport photograph to the post on February 8.
On February 11, he allegedly published content suggesting
that Omowunmi had failed to deny allegations of infidelity during court
proceedings while on February 19, he allegedly shared material claiming that
private content belonging to the singer’s widow had been leaked online.
On March 14, the defendant allegedly published a video
containing derogatory remarks and accusations against Omowunmi, suggesting she
was involved in a hidden agenda relating to her late husband’s affairs
The prosecution told the court that the alleged online
attacks exposed Omowunmi to public ridicule, hatred, trolling, and physical
threats.
They further alleged that the harassment contributed to a
March 15 incident in which she was publicly confronted and nearly assaulted by
members of the public.
Hammed pleaded not guilty to all charges
