The Southern Kaduna Integrity Forum, a support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared its backing for President Bola Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and Senator Sunday Marshall Katung ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Kaduna, the forum’s convener, Samuel Tajo, said the endorsement was based on the developmental strides and leadership qualities demonstrated by the three politicians.
He highlighted Katung’s contributions to Southern Kaduna, including the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences and the Federal Medical Centre, as evidence of effective representation.
Tajo stressed that the group’s support was performance-driven, noting that Katung had fostered unity across the eight local government areas of Southern Kaduna.
He dismissed claims that the forum only aligned with Katung after his emergence as APC candidate, insisting that their support began immediately after the party primaries.
“Distinguished Senator Marshall Katung has brought unity among the eight local governments in less than three years. We believe every leader who has served Southern Kaduna has contributed positively, but Senator Katung has contributed immensely,” Tajo said.
He further commended other aspirants who contested the APC primaries, describing them as leaders who had also made meaningful contributions to the region’s growth.
However, he urged residents of Southern Kaduna and APC supporters to rally behind Tinubu, Uba Sani, and Katung, whom he described as “the Joshuas of our generation” capable of delivering progress and development.
