A private security outfit, Gallery Security Services Limited (GSSL), has rescued a 37-year-old trader, Mrs. Morenike Falona, from kidnappers in Ode Irele, headquarters of Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Falona, who was abducted on June 16, 2026, at Orelopo Street, Ode Irele, was freed unharmed three days later following a coordinated operation by a 20-man rescue team deployed by the firm.
During the operation, GSSL operatives dismantled the kidnappers’ hideout in a palm plantation at Iju-Osun community and arrested two suspects identified as Obibodefiyie Ajuesie, 36, and Monday Lucky, popularly known as Gazilo, 37, both from Ese-Odo Local Government Area.
Speaking while handing over the suspects to the police at Ajagba, retired Navy Lieutenant Zakari Abdullahi, Security Manager of GSSL, said the men had been transferred to the Okitipupa Area Command for further investigation and prosecution.
Chief Bibopere Ajube, CEO of GSSL, commended residents for providing timely intelligence that aided the rescue.
He urged communities in Ondo South Senatorial District to remain vigilant and pledged continued collaboration with security agencies to rid the area of criminal elements.
Confirming the development, Police Public Relations Officer DSP Abayomi Jimoh said the suspects are in custody and will face prosecution after investigations.
He praised the partnership between GSSL and the police, noting that such collaborations are vital in tackling crime across the state.
