Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration over worsening economic hardship, insisting that poverty is not the fate of Nigerians.
In a post on his verified X handle, Adebayo argued that poverty stems from failed leadership and poor policy choices, not destiny.
He stressed that Nigeria’s fortunes could be reversed with purposeful governance, clear priorities, and deliberate planning.
“Poverty is not Nigeria’s destiny. It is the result of failed leadership and it can be defeated with the right government, the right priorities and the right plan,” Adebayo declared.
The SDP chieftain lamented that despite three years of economic reforms, millions of Nigerians continue to struggle with rising costs and declining purchasing power.
He maintained that only a government committed to sound planning and accountability could steer the country away from entrenched hardship.
