Prominent opposition figure and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dino Melaye, has strongly warned that Nigerians will not tolerate another four years under President Bola Tinubu, describing a potential second term as an “existential” threat marked by continued hardship.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the former Kogi West Senator declared that the coming election is no longer about political preference but survival for ordinary citizens.
“Tinubu’s second term is no longer about interest but existential. Nigerians cannot afford another four years of a miserable, corrupt, reckless, incompetent and prodigal government,” Melaye stated.
Melaye further accused President Tinubu of playing politics with the lives of Nigerians while undermining democracy and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
The outspoken politician’s remarks come amid growing national discourse on the 2027 presidential election, as economic challenges and governance issues continue to dominate public conversation.
Tinubu, who secured the APC ticket with significant support, faces mounting criticism from opposition voices ahead of the polls.
Melaye’s comments reflect broader opposition sentiment that the current administration’s policies have inflicted undue suffering on citizens, making continuity untenable.
