Aggrieved African Democratic Congress (ADC) aspirants in Kano State have rejected the party’s primaries for the 2027 elections, labeling the process a sham.
Speaking at a press conference, group spokesperson Hon. Wada Masu revealed a major timeline clash that he says proves the election was rigged:
May 21, 2026: The date the party claims primaries were held. However, aspirants were actually undergoing official screening on this day.
May 22, 2026: The election committee invited aspirants to a consensus meeting, promising primaries only if consensus failed proving no valid election had occurred the day before.
"Our struggle is for justice, transparency, and the protection of democratic principles within our party," Masu stated.
The group is calling on the ADC national leadership to investigate the matter and order a transparent process, warning that ignoring the issue will fracture the party ahead of 2027.
