Governor Hope Uzodinma has approved the suspension of Raymond Ucheoma as Managing Director of the Imo State Housing Corporation (IMSHC), barely one year after his appointment.
The suspension was conveyed to Ucheoma through a letter from the Secretary to the State Government, Cosmas Iwu. In the letter, the former Head of Service was directed to immediately hand over all government property in his possession to the Secretary of the Corporation or the most senior officer available.
The state government expressed hope that the leadership change would usher in a new era for the Imo Housing Corporation, one that fully aligns with the present administration’s agenda for effective service delivery.
Ucheoma’s appointment as Managing Director was approved in May 2025, shortly after his retirement from the position of Head of Service in the Imo State Civil Service.
No further details were provided on the reasons for the suspension or the next steps regarding a substantive replacement.
