Former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ayo Oritsejafor, has said elections in Nigeria are fake, stressing that they are selections.
Oritsejafor maintained that elections in Nigeria are not
free and fair.
The former National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship
of Nigeria, PFN, made the assertion while featuring on Channels Television’s
Politics Today on Monday night.
He said: “Let’s be very honest with ourselves, elections in
Nigeria are not free and fair, we have fake elections; in fact, I will even go
as far as calling it selection, not elections.
“When you look at the whole setup, the way every thing is
put together, beginning with the INEC Chairman to those at the Ward, you will
see that it is set up to fail.
“Does the vote of the average Nigerian count? It doesn’t
count because they have figured out what exactly they are going to do; they
already know who they want to win.
“I’m seriously troubled because the decision has been made
on who is going to win what.”
Asked if he thinks Tinubu will win in 2027, he said: “That
is the plan. Fortunately for me, I’m a clergyman and I believe in God.
“I believe that there is God who has the final day, we do
the things that we can do while he does the things that we can’t do.”
