Rapper Odumodublvck has renewed his public feud with record label Chocolate City, levelling fresh accusations against label signee Blaqbonez, including an allegation of s#xual abuse.
The ongoing dispute, which has spanned several months,
previously saw Odumodublvck accuse the label of criminal intimidation and
assault, as well as claiming that veteran rapper Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, who is
affiliated with Chocolate City, has acted hypocritically.
In June, Odumodublvck accused record label Chocolate City of
repeatedly attempting to get him arrested.
In a series of new posts on the social media platform X,
Odumodublvck claimed that certain individuals in the music industry are
shielding Blaqbonez from s#xual abuse allegations.
He further alleged that Blaqbonez was recently detained over
the matter and agreed to issue an apology, though the details of the
investigation and legal proceedings remain unclear to the public.
“Blaqbonez, when you were detained, before your release, you
were told to apologise. Same detention that Abuchi paid influencers to lie
about that you did not go. You said you cannot apologise verbally, so that it
won’t be recorded,” he wrote.
“You tried your best not to apologise because you knew that
it could be used against you one day.
“The police made sure you used your own handwriting, and it
was overseen by your lawyers, so the agenda of you being coerced is dead on
arrival. No man accepts s#xual harassment because of 2 nights in a cell.”
Odumodublvck also alleged that Chocolate City orchestrated
discord among rappers as a distraction from the s#xual abuse claims against
Blaqbonez.
The rapper claimed the label’s management is attempting to
have his lawyer’s license revoked in connection with the case.
“Chocolate City just invited my lawyer to the disciplinary
committee of legal practitioners to threaten him and revoke his license, just
so he does not represent me anymore (allegedly),” he wrote.
“Just like the way they invited me to the Aso Villa and I
walked away scot-free, because I was innocent, and so too was the victim.
“Audu Maikori has pulled all the tricks out of his hat, and
he is still trying more. I DM him every now and then to let him know that I am
covered by the blood of Jesus, and I am sure that the people in this panel will
see this tweet.”
The ‘Industry Machine’ hitmaker further alleged that
Blaqbonez initially sought an out-of-court settlement, but the victim’s lawyer
rejected the offer.
He claimed that the victim was willing to forgive without
payment, though her lawyer insisted on a financial resolution for undisclosed
reasons.
According to Odumodublvck, the initial settlement was N15
million, but Blaqbonez had the amount negotiated down to N2 million by
Chocolate City, with the payment made directly from Blaqbonez’s account.
“After it was paid, the police queried the victim for
allowing it to go that way and categorically told her that this boy is meant to
be in jail for 14 years. That same boy is denying all this. Tag him make e deny
am,” he added.
Blaqbonez Responds: ‘Attempt to Harass and Intimidate Me’
Responding, Blaqbonez described the accusations as an
attempt to “harass and intimidate” him. He clarified that the claims stem from
a past relationship “that ended respectfully”.
In the post, which was reshared by Odumodublvck, the rapper
alleged that a feud with another artiste had been escalated into “a campaign to
discredit me publicly”.
Blaqbonez affirmed that he is fully cooperating with
authorities and welcomes transparency.
He also stated that his legal team is taking steps to
protect him against what he described as harassment and defamation over the
past year.
“That private chapter has now become entangled with
professional rivalries in the music industry. What began as a personal matter
between two adults has been pulled into a broader feud, reshaped and used as
ammunition in a campaign to discredit me publicly,” the statement reads.
“The accusations being pushed are deliberate fabrications
designed to damage my name, my work, and everything I’ve built. They have
caused pain to my family, my team, and those who support me. It’s disheartening
to see people weaponise falsehoods for attention and revenge.
“I am cooperating fully with the authorities to ensure that
the truth is established once and for all. I have nothing to hide, and I
welcome transparency. I’m also taking steps through my legal team to protect
myself against the harassment and defamation I’ve endured over the past year.
“I have worked hard to represent honesty and self-belief in
my art.
“That will not change. The truth will come out, and when it
does, I hope this moment reminds everyone that false accusations destroy real
lives, and that bullying, whether physical, digital, or psychological, must
never be tolerated.
“I will allow personal grudges or online hostility to define
who I am or distract me from my purpose. The truth is not afraid of light, and
that’s where I stand. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out in support. My
focus remains on my music, my peace, and clearing my name.”
