APC’s Joe Igbokwe: “Insulting Tinubu Is Not a Career”

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has mocked detained activist Omoyele Sowore, accusing him of turning insults against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into a career.

Sowore was on Monday remanded in Kuje Prison by an Abuja Federal High Court over his alleged refusal to appear in court during his ongoing trial.

The activist is being prosecuted for allegedly calling the Nigerian president a criminal on social media.

Reacting to the development, Igbokwe took to his official Facebook page to support the court’s decision, declaring that “abusing Tinubu is not a career.”

He accused Sowore of repeatedly taking the law into his own hands through protests and confrontations with authorities.

“Nigeria is not a lawless country. Sowore has taken the law into his hands for years now. Protests on the streets, disturbing public peace, abusing law enforcement officers, encouraging killers in the South East, abusing PBAT—these are not a career,” Igbokwe wrote.
