The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its National Campaign Council for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, appointing Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani as chairman.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced in a statement on Monday that Senate President Godswill Akpabio will serve as co-chairman, while Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele will act as secretary.
The council will be inaugurated on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Kashim Shettima Hall, Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Ekiti governorship election for June 20, 2026.
According to Morka, the council comprises serving and former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other party leaders.
It is tasked with coordinating campaign activities, mobilizing grassroots support, and ensuring effective planning across key areas such as finance, logistics, security, media, women’s and youth engagement.
The inauguration marks a major step in APC’s statewide mobilisation efforts as the party seeks victory at the polls.
