Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari, son of Nigeria’s late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has recorded a decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency.
Yusuf Buhari polled a massive 5,849 votes, overwhelmingly defeating his closest rival, Hon. Auwal Lawal Daura, who managed only 21 votes.
The result, which has sent shockwaves through Katsina political circles, shows the strong influence and popularity the Buhari name still commands in the Daura zone.
Political observers describe the margin as one of the most dominant performances in recent APC primaries in the state.
