President Tinubu arrived in Nairobi on Monday, May 11, for the two-day Africa Forward Summit (also known as the Africa-France Summit), co-hosted by President Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The event, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” brings together African heads of state, business leaders, investors, and international partners to discuss key issues including energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, climate action, and reforms to the global financial architecture.
Tinubu’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships across Africa and with France.
He is expected to deliver a statement highlighting his administration’s ongoing economic reforms aimed at positioning Nigeria as a prime destination for investment and sustainable growth.
The summit, held at venues including the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) and the University of Nairobi, features participation from over 30 African leaders, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and various stakeholders focused on fostering equal and action-oriented partnerships.
