Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State on Monday led a high-powered delegation of state leaders and stakeholders to the residence of Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio for a formal consultation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The visit, which took place on Monday night, was aimed at appreciating the Senate President for his continued support and commitment to the peace, unity, and development of Akwa Ibom State, while also seeking his blessings as the state prepares for the next political cycle.
In a statement issued after the meeting, Governor Eno said the delegation reaffirmed its collective resolve to work closely with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate President Akpabio in pursuit of a greater and more united Akwa Ibom State.
“We came to appreciate him for his continued support and commitment to the peace, unity, and development of our State, and to seek his blessings as we continue this journey,” Governor Eno said.
He added: “I reaffirmed our collective resolve to work together to support His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Senate President, and our shared vision for a greater and more united Akwa Ibom State.”
Governor Eno expressed gratitude for the warm reception and encouraging words from the Senate President, stressing that his administration would continue to place the peace, unity, and progress of Akwa Ibom above every other consideration.
