Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a 50-year-old woman suspected of collaborating with Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists at a security checkpoint in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The suspect, identified as Kellu Abba, a Kanuri woman from the Lawanti area of Baga town, was intercepted at about 8am on Wednesday while allegedly attempting to smuggle supplies to her son, Modu Mustapha, a suspected terrorist operating in the Dumba general area.
According to security sources, items recovered from her during the arrest included four ready-to-use supplementary food packs, two hijabs, and one wristwatch.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the 196 Amphibious Battalion for further investigation and necessary action.
